I hope the rca thing is just the rca's having a bad spot in them and not the amp. update time it wasn't the RCA's. I took apart the amp and found a capacitor that would jiggle and lose connection occasionally :/ so I soldered that back on. Crandis16 Posted December 11, 2012 Author Report Posted December 11, 2012 It turns out that the sub reaches it's mechanical limits when playing 45hz test tone for competition so I can't go until clipping stops on the HU In recent updates I switched out the positive 4 ga with 1/0 that I got for $20 and rounded over the port exit to eliminate port noise so nothing really photo worthy My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

Nice Crandis that thing flexes pretty good for one sub. Glad you were able to fix the problem easy. One question for you. In your escort with the seat up do you lose allot of the bass sound? Idk where you are now but I would get extra batteries before alt if you are on a tight budget. Good luck though. I wanted to do more testing on thanksgiving break but I was only able to string the zx2 with all 1/0, round port exit, and fix amp, and run other tests. Found out that my box is actually tuned to ~30 Hz after hooking it up to DATS. And to answer your question YES I drive with seat down all the time otherwise port fires directly into back of seat and through cracks back into the trunk.
