Alpine Pxa-h701 Help

Hello I am New to this forum and could use some help.

I bought a new Alpine pxa-h701 to add to my Alpine Iva-W205 but I think it might be broken On the front 1 output it will only play as tweeters not full range. I have tryed everything i could think of but it only will come out as tweeter's.

Also when I first hooked it up When I would fade it to the front the rear would play (I checked to make sure I had the right RCA's in the right place on the EQ and the amp). then later that day out of the blue when i tryed fadeing it to the front it worked and the front only played.

Anyone here have this EQ how is it for you I was also told and read a lot that using the digital cable would be best and that i would tell a big difference from using the AI-net cable from the iva-w205 to the pxa-h701.

And I dont know if it is me or what but when I adjust the eq settings I dont hear a differnce only when I adjust the x-over setting do I hear a differance.

I have one and let me tell you, you have a lot of tunning in front of you my friend.

1st of the 1st 2 sets of rca's are just for the tweeters or hi-pass. It's there so you can amp your tweets separately from your mid range.

I use the optical in mine and it makes a big difference over the same setup in the wifes truck without.

You can use it for both hi/full you would have to change the settings in the setup/speakers.

I control mine from a controller not off the head unit as the head unit will limit what settings you can change.

I use the IVA D901 for my head unit. with the optical and the DVD changer with the optical in. All you have to turn on is the optical out on the deck for it to work. You can check the output by looking at the cable head and seeing a little red glow

But I am not sure I am going to keep it I think the EQ might be to much for my little set up But I did like the way the sub's hit with the EQ.

5 1/4 Boston pro's in the front doors

Yeah like I said, it takes awhile to get it all set. I have about 40+ hours into the setup and tuning of mine, But once it's set you won't want any other EQ in your ride.

Hell 2 days for the install, along with all the other shit I added. Then I tuned it for the 2 8's I had in the doors and it sounded great, then I just did 2 different 8's with 6's in the doors and it sounds fantastic!

I don't think he can access that from the deck. I couldn't on mine, I had to use the controller
