HunterJohnson
I have this humming noise, I got new tires recently so idk if its the tires or a wheel bearing sounds like its only coming from the back. Any help and if it is can I fix it myself. blownengine
You can jack up all the tires and turn them by hand. If they feel clunky or grind then the bearings are bad. blownengine
Yea, they won't spin freely like crazy, but they shouldn't clunk or grind. They need to turn smooth. HunterJohnson
okay thanks, i know what a good wheel feels/sound like when I installed my tires on all my cars so it should be obvios. Thanks man, if it is clunky I'll attempt to fix it myself Quote Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
blownengine
Does the noise get louder as you speed up? Also give the wheel a hard shake when it's in the air. There shouldn't be and wiggle in it. mwjustic
Does the noise get louder as you speed up? Also give the wheel a hard shake when it's in the air. There shouldn't be and wiggle in it. this is what I have been told as well.also if you sway backand fourth itll help you figure out what side it is coming from. getlocivic
driving down the road if you go side to side the humming will stop ..or get worse going left to right also jacked up there should be alot of play in the bearing itself ( whole hub should move)
