You can jack up all the tires and turn them by hand. If they feel clunky or grind then the bearings are bad.

Yea, they won't spin freely like crazy, but they shouldn't clunk or grind. They need to turn smooth.

Does the noise get louder as you speed up? Also give the wheel a hard shake when it's in the air. There shouldn't be and wiggle in it.

this is what I have been told as well.also if you sway backand fourth itll help you figure out what side it is coming from. Edited by mwjustic
