Luda
I just swapped my dieing RF 8002 w/ a Kenwood KAC 9102D, should be about 300W mor because my RF was down to one channel. so probelm 1, i dont feel the bass as much, i dont have access to a Mic so i cant tell if it is as loud, but it doesnt seem like it, im thinking it is because of the sub sonic filter @ 25Z, the RF didnt have one. problem 2)the amp is cutting in and out of me. at first it was the secondary ground [lil screw to the left of the RCAs labeled GND] hooked that up and its all good. going down the highway to day it cuts off, comes back on a couple minutes later, cuts off, comes back on. i couldnt associate it with any certain movement or anything... im @ a complete loss... any ideas? ChevyBoy
could be ur rca's, or it could be ur rca connections on the amp, or ur rcas on the head unit
Guest MegaloManiac
could be the amp isnt stable at whatever ohm you're at, or the rca's have a pinch somewhere, or your gains are too high, maybe a bad ground
ChevyBoy
i would definitely change out the rcas. cause u mentioned that the fosgate amp lost a channel. and this amp u just put in there aint workin. so i think thats the first thing u needa worry about
Guest MegaloManiac
use your DMM on the rca's to check em. outside ring is ground/neg and the middle prong is pos
S12X
are you sure the fosgate amp even lost a channel if you think your rcas are bad??? are both channels on the kenwood running? sounds like its a good possibility its your rcas Quote new setup in the works
ChevyBoy
try swapping the fosgate back in and try "reversing" ur rca's. red to left and white to right.
