Box is 2.97 cuft before any displacement. The port I made is 6x6x20 which tunes the box to 40hz and gives just barely over 17 sqin of port area per cuft...and I decided to invert the sub just to see wat happens...its an old kicker comp 12... When I got it done I was looking at the box going wtf did I do...this looks kinda stupid...so I put it in my truck just to hear it and the results blew me away... It hits really good. Almost too good for one old comp 12. When it hits the low notes it hits them hard and sounds really good...and I can't figure out why lol. I dont understand it. Can anyone explain this to me?? All I did was make all displacements external and raises the tuning from 35hz to 40hz...

Does the higher tuning just make it sound like its hitting the lows harder?? Someone help me out lol I wanna understand this that way I kno exactly what to do with my 18 when I get it

I honestly thought it was a waste of time and wouldn't hit for shit but it was the exact opposite. I just dont understand what made it hit like it does. Maybe inverting the sub has alot more to do with it???? I thought inverting the sub only took the displacement out of the box...
