pstone11
After three years of driving this truck, it is time to get some gear in it. Its a great pickup and I really haven't done a ton to it yet. It is mostly stock with a 3" lift in the front and 1.25" spidertrax spacers to clear the big ol' street rubber that I decided to go with. TRD duals and 18" BBS wheels... Alpine W200 with some microvision monitors in the headrests for the kids are as far as I went with the electronics so far. The plan for now is to throw in a T4004BD, T8004BD, a couple pair of components, and four 8" Lorentz neo subwoofers. These trucks have no room at all and it has taken quite a while to figure out what route to go with the system. I think this will sound pretty nice. Here is some of the gear. These are a couple shots to show how much room there isn't... The amps will be on the back wall there and all 4 subs will get flushed in under the seats. It was so nice to finally find a set of subs that would fit in there - dropped them down in the trough under the back seat to make sure. Rich859
This should be interesting. I was fortunate with my Dodge to have some room under the seats. Good luck with the install. Im tuned in.
pstone11
First thing was to get that brace out of there that used to separate the storage area from the jack/lug wrench area and get the whole thing taped off to glass. First layer is down and I'm giving it plenty of time to dry overnight so I can press on tomorrow. Think I am going to knock out a quick big 3 and change the battery, then get to working on wiring, mounting amps and whatnot... I picked them up on this site probably 18 months ago.... forgot how much I paid. Subs look interesting bro, this is going to b da tits. Yeah, the double rolled surround and super slim neo action are pretty unique. Very cool stuff. Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page! pstone11
Good progress - Replacing door speakers is normally a piece of cake but these were a bit of a pain. Toyota has these speaker/adapter assemblies that suck. I could modify the fronts to facilitate a set of polk components but i had to cut a new set of spacers for the rear doors to fit some RF power coax. pstone11
OK - there is no room at all in this truck - these super small Neo shallow mount 8' s are hardly going to fit. I need to reverse mount them in a very deep countersink and hope that they won't hit the bottom of the seats. Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page!
