howelr
Im looking into getting this amp to run 2 8" RF P1's but im going to be upgrading to RE RFX8's soon Does anyone have any experience with this amp? or anything similar. its CEA compliant but i cant find any reviews on it http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44495_Hifonics-ZRX500.2.html thanks
JesseyMclame
Looks like a decent little amp if bridged correctly. If I were you I'd just spend a little more money and get like A BRZ1200 so you have wiggle room for upgrading in the future. Also the BRE series are great. jgusman
I just recently got the GLX 1400.1 and love it.
JesseyMclame
Yeah, those new GLX series are nice. A lot of good technology went into those. I'm not too crazy about the look though. I've been running my BRE1600.1 on four 12s at a half ohm and it barely gets hot and I've never had a problem with it. Quote Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. Sean Sinha
The 2012 Hifonics amps are pretty solid for the money. If you're looking for something inexpensive to drive a single sub bridged, I think it will do just fine. I've got a Zeus powering some Type R's and it's been solid and puts out rated without issue.
