wennington99 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 so Caddilac Deville, I might go to a 1000 watt amp down the road, just 500 for now though any suggestions for the box? any w6 owners around that can chime in? please and thanks
john253a Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 you need to give a bit info, if you want some help, first you need to help yourself before anyone else can get a tape measure and take it to your trunk, list the measurements and type of box you want, ported, sealed, pr, 4order, 6order, t-line sub/port back sub/port forward sub/port up mixture of Then what do you want to achieve?
wennington99 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Report Posted May 18, 2012 the trunk is as big as it gets for a trunk car and I can use it all, will measure later i want punchy bass that hit's the front seats and blends well with my fronts, everything else I'm open to suggestions maybe someone can tell me how a larger sealed box say 3 cubes for each sub would compare to the much smaller jl specs? would there be less "punch"?
john253a Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 On 500rms you can look at tline boxes But if you run more power then no Bang for buck is ported if you got the power
Guest Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 i'd go with ported over sealed. "punchiness" is only something that people think is a factor of sealed/ported because they've only used shitty prefab boxes bought at best buy and electronic stores.
