Junior Russell
allright so im helping my friend tonight by bouncing ideas off of him and hes wanting to do 16 15's or 18's camper shell blow through, 8 per side, (he doesnt know what brand or power so dont ask) in his 09 ram 3500 mega cab and he and i both understand that you have to have proper cubes and everything but something he asked and i dont know is how do you calculate the cubes needed on multiple sub setups? HatersGonnaHate
Figure out how many subs you want total. 8 per side as you said above. Find the specs of the sub and the recommended enclosure size, multiply that by 8. So if the subs call for 3 cubes per sub, it would be: 3ft^ x 8subs = 24ft^ Quote My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. Junior Russell
ok thats what i was thinking but ive seen people say they have the recomended cubes on multi sub setups but when i look up the specs on that sub and multiply it by the number of subs and it comes out to a totally different number Quote http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
HatersGonnaHate
Other people have built and rebuilt and found out what works best for a setup. Manufacturers recommendation is a ballpark figure for a general application like sealed or a basic port box. 4th orders, 6th orders and all that stuff is in a totally different league. Junior Russell
just remembered does the tuning stay the same or do you have to tune it differently? HatersGonnaHate
Lol no problem. I haven't dealt with or built or tried to design any 4th orders, but your best bet would be to try to hit up Ray or 412CVX about them.
