To stay 6x8's or not...

Buddy of mine wants me to help him install a system in his Ranger for daily use. Nothing crazy, just a sub and door speakers. 2004 Ranger's have 6x8's, and I found an adapter plate to go from 6x8->6.5, but would having 6x8's sound better? There's going to be a 4 channel amp in that mix too.

6.5 is my vote. Circles better than ovals. :)

^^Same here. Always just favored round speakers over any other shape.

probobly 6.5 since i bet you could fit a 6.5 componet set in that location

That's what I was thinking, but he's wanting more of a plug-n-play setup, not alot of modding.

The one's i listed are 6x9 to 6.5 (sorry bout that), but there are all sizes, i'm sure you could modify those easy enough for components.
