urbana4
Umm also not sure if it was a typo but when I multiply 27x14x13 and divide by 1728 I get 2.84 cubes on the one you have at 1.5. If you change the 27 to 17, I get 1.79 which seams more reasonable if you also need to subtract the port volume correct?
Joe X
I will change it to what you want but to me it looks just fine at 1,5@33Hz is not going to be boomy or anything like that, as before just set the subsonic filter to 30 Hz and limit the gain on the amp, it will be way better than sealed. If you want a slamming sub that one is not it though, get a Fi Q for a hard hitting SQ sub.
urbana4
Yeah throw up the specs for a 1.25 cu too but I'll try the 1.5 first. Does that dimension need to be changed from 27 to 17in on the 1.5 though correct? Also, I'm hoping that this sub works well enough for me to keep it to stay all audison and hertz. If not, FI it is. Right now though the sub is in a sealed thats 1.81 cu ft which is WAY TO BIG. Also my voce amp does not have a infrasonic or subsonic filter on it. If I'm using the DD-1, wont I be safe setting the gain off of that?
Joe X
Umm also not sure if it was a typo but when I multiply 27x14x13 and divide by 1728 I get 2.84 cubes on the one you have at 1.5. No man you are calculating is the external volume of the box, the net internal volume is what the driver "feels" and results from subtracting all the wood, the sub and the port airspace displacements.. the spec above is correct, if you want to take the time to play with Torres you'll find that it is as it needs to be. On the 1.25 cubes box here is the spec: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 33 Hz Vb = 1.25 ft^3 External Height = 14 in External Width = 27 in External Depth = 11.5 in Port Width = 1 1/2 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Front & Back = 27 x 14 Left & Right Sides = 10 x 12 1/2 Top & Bottom = 27 x 10 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 Extension = 21 1/4 x 12 1/
