ant the ninja
I think Im going with these http://www.amazon.co...=A3JV2WX8IXDD3A Now I just need to figure out my crimping/soldering situation for my ring terminals. Those look pretty good, would eliminate the need for a couple ring terminals. I've been trying to find these other ones that I liked, but I can't seem to find them. I'll let you know if I do. As for a torch, I've had this one about 6 months now, and it's served me well. You could probably find a cheaper one though if you want, like: http://www.amazon.co...7836097&sr=1-21 http://www.harborfre...orch-42099.html Okay cool, Ill take a look at that, looks good! ant the ninja
Just to confirm, this should help my voltage out right? At full tilt I drop to like 12.5/6 but resting is a little over 14. The big 3 should help me out with that a little right? Its a stock alt and a beefed up battery, its only like 1k so I figured I don't need anything special for an alt. Crandis16
there is a great instructional thread that has been pinned to the electrical category, it's definitely worth looking at. I will be doing mine too because my car is already seeing voltage drop at 500wrms Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

Cardboardcat15
Clean connections Tight connections. Loom all wire. Fuse properly according to wire. Run as far away from heat sources as possible. Crimp and solder. Crimp with a hydraulic crimper. Add wire, not replace. Take your time. Quote My Channel on YouTube. ant the ninja
So I degreased my engine (dear god does that shit smell) anyway, I'm able to see my strut tower bolts now so ill ground to one of those but about the engine block ground, the only bolts I can get too get pretty hot, too hot to touch. Is that okay to use one of those for the engine block ground to the strut tower or should I keep looking for another one? Thanks for all the help guys Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? SnowDrifter
How hot are we talking about? Do they get hot enough to make water boil/sizzle if you licked your finger and touched it? If not, then it's fine. ant the ninja
I deff wouldn't want to keep my finger on it at all, it got decently hot. I doubt it would come anywhere near making water boil though. Should I keep lookin? Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? ant the ninja
one last question, sorry Im annoying everyone but Does my engine block ground go to my strut tower (which is where my new battery ground will be) or does it go directly to the negative battery terminal?
