SnowDrifter
Ok give me a few and ill post a bunch of pictures for you guys. Also, can you guys reccomend any good battery terminals I should buy? And some good quality crimp/soldering terminals? I'm grabbing knu wire so I know that's good. Can't comment on battery terminals. Do you have a wire cimper (a real one, not a bench vice or one of the hammer-spikes)? Crimping is a better connection anyways In that case: I suggest these. They are thicker/more solid than any solder terminal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-0-AWG-Tinned-Lug-Cable-Crimp-Connector-End-5-16-in-/270894937343?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear#ht_732wt_905 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

I'm not sure my crimp is that strong, its literally just a wirecutter with a slot to crimp wires, not sure if that's what you meant. And thanks for all your help. Ill be home in about 15 minutes and ill get you those pictures. Thanks everyone for the help as well!! Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? Ill be home in about 15 minutes and ill get you those pictures. Thanks everyone for the help as well!! No, not that kind of crimper. That won't work, at all (if it's what I'm thinking it is). If you want to get a crimper, take a look at this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hydraulic-Crimping-Tool-Kit-8-Ton-Electric-Wire-Crimper-/230762212794?pt=BI_Electrical_Equipment_Tools&hash=item35ba7fedba#ht_2482wt_1037 Otherwise, just solder them. The ones with the closed tops that were linked above are pretty easy to solder. Just melt a bunch of solder in there (with a butane torch), and then stick the wire in it. The kind with the open ends are alright too, but I'd recommend the closed ones.
ant the ninja
ok, I think I'm going to go for the soldering terminals, just need to get my hands on a butane blow torch haha, good thing I asked here because I was just going to use regular terminals, crimp them then solder over them. Thanks again. Here are the pictures of my engine bay. Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? LZTYBRN
I think Im going with these http://www.amazon.co...=A3JV2WX8IXDD3A Now I just need to figure out my crimping/soldering situation for my ring terminals. Those look pretty good, would eliminate the need for a couple ring terminals. I've been trying to find these other ones that I liked, but I can't seem to find them. I'll let you know if I do. As for a torch, I've had this one about 6 months now, and it's served me well. You could probably find a cheaper one though if you want, like: http://www.amazon.com/Trademark-75-TZ6915-Igniting-Refillable-Ceramic/dp/B003DX6JF6/ref=sr_1_21?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1337836097&sr=1-21 http://www.harborfreight.com/micro-torch-42099.html
