andale927 Posted June 5, 2012 Author Report Posted June 5, 2012 mayhems ahh how i love them... but seriously you will need more power they are fat angry bitches. as for the box you need a good bit more port and id run about 2.5 per after displacement, id also bring tuning up some but thats just what i found worked well with my mayhem Yeah I may upgrade amp wise once I finish my install depending on whether or not I am satisfied which I probably won't be lol. The dimensions I am using are the biggest I can fit in my trunk or I would definitely increase port area but that would drop my displacement way down. What's that little red wire, next to the grayish wire going thru the firewall? I suggest a grommet, or you are potentially asking for fire. Like Grim says, More port, and try tuning around 36ish? And when you did your pillars, did you hole-saw the actual A-Pillar? The hole has already been sealed using silicone it is a weird size so I couldn't find a grommet that would fit. And yeah I hole-sawed my A-Pillars

Also I play alot of music below tuning so wouldn't having more port area make the woofer unload faster? A lot of the things I listen to go down to 21-18 hz.
