I'm not a JL "nut hugger" by any means, but prices aside JL is an excellent company with great products. Junior Russell
yeah i agree that they are a good company with some good amps but the coils on jls are just not worth it in my book... subs freeze from being over powered the coils lock up. the only time ive ever over powered a sub was when i first got into bass and it fried before it froze... also the worst jls ive had were the ones with the vr3 technorlogy in it... http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
ricksi30
subs freeze from being over powered the coils lock up. Correct. And if it was over powered that is user error and NOT JL's fault. To each his own I guess. The only sub I've heard bad things about are the newer W1's.
