will this be to much

I seriously doubt that they were actually getting that kind of power. -
Exactly, why bother people who are still alive in another place, then on a quiet remote cemetary where nobody will complain. If people are put to rest there, why not a tire too? What about the family burying their child or other loved one somewhere else in the cemetery? That would be why it is inconsiderate.

I figured it was time to start a build log as I'm hoping this setup will stay in my car for a bit. Over the past year I have changed setups more times than I can count. I have yet to be completely happy with my system as a whole, so I sold everything aside from my Pioneer 880, and decided to start from scratch. My main goal is to have a system that sounds good to me with the ability to get fairly loud for when I'm in the mood. This will most likely take at least a month to complete as I still need to decide what subs to go with, then add build time. I should have some pics of the gear, and progress pics up by tomorrow. So far I have purchased the following: Head unit: Pioneer p880 prs Components: Alpine SPX-17PRO Front Stage Amp: Boston Acoustics GT 2125 Sub woofer amp: Planet Audio BB1400.1 (Might change it but couldn't pass up the deal I got on it) Sub woofers:Throwing around a lot of ideas but will most likely be GCON's (Size/Quantity still up in the air) Electrical: Stock 125 amp alt, Diehard platinum G34 under the hood, and Kinetik HC2000 I'm definitely going with SSA. The GCON is at the top of my list, but I'm not ruling out the XCON either

Always disconnect your battery when installing an amp. -
Can I use 16 volt batteries?
ricksi30 replied to Excursion's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Stick to 12 volt. -
All music is clipped?!?
ricksi30 replied to volvowith18psi's topic in Tunez - All things music related
Almost all non modified music will not be a problem. Just be careful with "slowed" or "bass boosted" modified music. However there are some songs out there with heavy clipping that haven't been modified. -

Yeah just make sure that whenever you touch wiring, or fuses that you disconnect your negative battery cable. Sorry for the double posts, I don't see an edit option on the mobile skin. -

Ground your rcas and that should fix it. -

Hot swapping amps. It is more common in pioneers, but I have heard that some kenwoods can also have this problem. -
Steve tried to blow them when he was going to recone to 15's and they took it all.

Agreed multiple people are running 2x rated power. Unless your buddy has a solid electrical system stick to the bc2k.
-
The can take a ton of power, but they don't need it. I ran mine on 1500 for a while and it was loud.
-
In that case the top and bottom alone will take ~4 sheets. You might be able to get some sides out of those 4 but I'd say 5 or 6 sheets total.
-
Are you doubling up the whole enclosure or just the baffle?
