Should I line-X the painted grey areas?

457683_3258278579185_1333759459_32200787_1095708634_o.jpg

Keep in mind I'm getting a camping rig for the back and a hitch bike rack for bikes, so its going to be kind of an off road looking rig.

The picture looks good there but overall I don't like all the colors going on, eventually well get a full paint job done.

I'm assuming Line-X is a rubberized black paint? Like bedliner or Rock Guard? if so i'd do it for sure. I think it would look better and should give you a little extra protection on the bottom of the truck if you do plan on taking it off road.

Yes, Its a quality bedliner.

Is that bedliner on the sides? post a pic up. Mines actually not bad on the rust, any major metal underneath has some sort of paint on it.

Also plan on de-badging it and getting those ridiculous black trim pieces off down there.

EDIT: and also, what if I did the backside of the mirrors in it too, maybe the handles?

The only thing that I have heard about line x is that they did a very poor job by making it a very thin layer and when the person confronted them about it they did nothing and even corporate laughed at him but that might be one bad apple

Other than that I would say definently bed line it that'd be nice

Check out shaggy's build log on here to see the line x incident that he had

Ahh, I would like color matched a lot better, the truck came with all the chrome on it.

Thanks for that, Ive never talked to the shops around here that can spray it, I have one in mind that people tend to like, that seems to have good customer service.

If you do it You may want to carry it through the vehicle as well. maybe do your door panels in it and stuff at a later time. Dont know what your plans for it are but I feel that if you are going to Ruggedize it you shouldnt half ass it and should really make it part of your theme.
