osage Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 I've been running two Kenwood KFC 12s for two years now and I'm ready to step up to some real subs. I'm looking at two Fi SSD 15s. My Kenwoods are running off a Kicker zx750.1 and it drives them just fine of course. But it obviously won't drive the new subs. If I buy a second identical amp do you think it will push the Fi's well? They each take 1000w rms and the kicker amps birth around 850-900. Will I be underpowering these subs too much? http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q722/Joey_Medders/8c5ab882-507f-4d37-9a86-1c34d3ccec2e_zps1dd7c0f1.jpg 2007 Yamaha FZ1 - Full Yoshi system, Airbox mod, BCM filter, PCIII, PCIII quick shifter - [email protected] 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT - I/H/E Crower Cam, NGM reflash - [email protected] (slow as hell) - audio car (142db) - RIP December 31st 2012 Pioneer AVH-P34000BH Hifonics ZRX3000.1D 2 Fi BL 15s - dual 1ohm - cooling, flatwind coil, daily 9 cube ported @34hz Hifonics ZRX1000.4 RE Audio XXX6.5C front doorPyle PLG69.4 rear panels KnuKoncepts KCA 0/1 big 3 & 2 runs to back KnuKoncepts RCA/speaker wire/distro XS Power D3100 under hood

Watch the bass Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 If you have a lower wattage than your subs are rated you have to build a bigger box! "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
Guest Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 just get a single 2000w amp. but with that, or even if you buy another 750, you'd need to do some electrical upgrades. such as, but not limited to, extra batteries and lots of 0 gauge wire
osage Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 Would a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D be a good match up? Would just be over powering them a bit. Semper Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Would a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D be a good match up? Would just be over powering them a bit. Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D Yes, I currently have one and I personally find it to be a great amp. But you most definitely won't be overpowering them. You'd need to be at 14.4V to get the power you're looking for. Although I'm pretty sure someone clamped the 2100 @ 2400ish watts at 14.4V New Setup; H/U; Pioneer DEH-80prs. Wiring; 2 runs of 2/0 OFC & Big 3. Subs; 2 D1 DC Level 4s. Monoblock; DC 3.5k. 4 Channel; JBL GTO1004. Highs; Vifa NE25VTS-04. Mids; Aura NS6-255-8A. Alt; 160a. Batts; Optima, KHC1800.
