Stephen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 yeah you just get a d2r 9007 bulb for reflector housing and d2s 9007 bulb for projector. i dont think ive seen a conversion kit that just gives you the bulb without the base. you specify which bulb/base/temp you want when you buy a kit. There is no such thing as a D2r 9007 bulb. D2r is a bulb type just like 9007 in a bulb type. Also hid reflectors are different from standard halogen reflectors. gremlin Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) thank you stephen. rebasing means compromising in a sense. or customizing. making something work where it wasnt really desined to go but works just as well.. d2r and d2s are bulbs for cars that came with hid from the factory. unless you want to retrofit an oem reflector or projector into your housing, just buy a conversion kit or plug-n-play kit for your vehicle if you dont wanna go through the hassle of retrofitting. because it takes alot of hours and sometimes still doesnt come out right.
