Nikitaaa
I'm ampless ATM. As a temporary replacement, I have my sub at .7 ohm on a channel of my mb quart 4.125. Is it popping into protect because of the low impedance? Would it be louder wired in series even though I'm managing to get away with playing at low gain?? (the Amp stays on with the gain at about 30% but gets wicked hot) Quote 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw

HatersGonnaHate
I think it might be going into protect due to the low impedance. Can you bridge two channels of the amp and increase the ohm load? Nikitaaa
I think it might be going into protect due to the low impedance. Can you bridge two channels of the amp and increase the ohm load? Well that's what I've been doing so far. 2 channels on the sub, two on the door speakers. From what I've read, this amp is 4ohm stable bridged.. I'm just so lazy that I don't want to take the subwoofer out unless I know for a fact that it will increase the output/ safety because I've got the shok 2.5k coming in on the 2nd. HatersGonnaHate
Ahhh I see what you did... I thought you meant you had it on only 1 of the 4 channels lol. But... Until you switch the ohm load, you'll still be popping into protect. And you'll run the risk of smoking the amp completely as well. Stop being lazy lol Quote My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. HatersGonnaHate
I say that just because of this: You say your new amp will be here on the second. Your current amp will fry on the first That's just the way shit works sometimes lol Quote My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. Wait you're running .7 ohms bridged, or one coil per channel? If you're doing .7 ohms bridged... that's less than a fifth of its minimum impedance, yikes. One coil per channel might be okay but I wouldn't risk it. I'd personally just take that bitch out and wire it in series on ONE channel. Should hold you over until you get the amp, and you don't have to worry about your equipment.
Nikitaaa
Thanks guys, you've inspired me to rewire my subwoofer Just a PITA because it's so damn heavy and the gasket is so hard to fit in the flush mount.
