new box question

Thinkin about building a new box for my two L7's in my suv, I've heard people say subs up port back but I'm just not sure on what route to take, any input is accepted here.

What kind of car? Size of box?

general rule in MOST suv's is subs up port back

some do subs and port up

and general rule of thumb for port area is 12 to 16" per cube

Merc mountaineer, no size of box yet I'm guessing I'm tryin to build around 5 or 6 cubes. Not sure how to calculate the port. Slot or round

Ok post what size are the subs, what amp, what music you listen most and if you have any electrical upgrades.

Get this. When you do, read through the entire help menu. You want to maintain at least 5ish inches between the port and back hatch. I'd try the subs up and port back

L7 12's, music style = lows are good but at the same time I want something to take someones breath away. I listen to mainly rap r&B. I WANT A NICE BOX BUT DINT WANT TO Take away all of my cargo space.

On the tight side 2.5 cubes per sub, more if possible, post the maximum an preferred dimensions for the box and I will provide a suggestion.
