Dale
Anyone ever tried to achieve that? Well I have an amp that puts out 800 Wrms @ 2ohm. I only have one Sub (MTX 8500 in sledgehammer) with one coil @ 4 ohm. Would it be possible to drop the impedence of the speaker to 2-ish ohms by adding a 4 ohm resistor in parallel? Or am I nuts? If anyone has done something like that hit me back. I need more power from my amp peace
mrwigglezdj
yes you can, i seen something about it a while back but the thing is that the resistor will asorb half of the power, the say 800 watts 1 sub and one resistor the sub will get half the power and the resistor will get the other half Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
