It's also sad that we live in a country where that we, law abiding citizens, may possibly be forced to pay for Health Insurance while if you go to jail, you get Health Insurance for free.

i think too many people are in a state of denial about too many things in this nation . we claim to be pro-life and yet we're usually fighting a war , we like to think of ourselves as socialistic caring beings and yet too often people shit on people .

they dont, how will a prisoner pay with out a job? they should do it like mexico and make the family responsible not tax payers. in mexico if your family dont take you food while in jail then guess what, you dont eat

edit: :o holly crap i love this idea

Struggling with an $80-million budget shortfall and an influx of thousands of felons to local jails, Riverside County is turning to a captive audience to raise some much-needed cash: Convicts.

Criminals in county lockups will be billed up to $142 a day starting in December — fees to reimburse the county for food, clothing, healthcare, security and other jail expenses. To collect, the county will garnish wages and slap liens on homes once inmates are free.

but what about the lifers

i think that alot of the people who are in jail these days need to just be hit in the head with something heavy and be done. something worthy of a 5+ year sentence just go ahead and off them.

I think they should just use the prisoners as free labor, that'll help the economy.
