Devil280z Posted June 29, 2012 Report Share Posted June 29, 2012 I have a 2006 g35 coupe. I plan on running a t1000-1 bdcp. And a t600-4. I have a d5100r xs power under the hood. And the d375 i wanna run in the trunk as a second battery. Right now i have 4 gauge cadance wire running from main battery to the rear from my old setup. Will this cable be fine? Also i bought CCA wire before reading the bad things about it . I did the BIG 3 upgrade with the knu cca wire 0gauge and the car is running fine so far no side effects. So basically my main question is can i get away with using 4 gauge wire between my d5100r and my d375. And will i be fine using the cca cable? The recommended wire gauge is determined by the diameter of the conductor in the wire, the material the wire is composed of and the distance of the run. The amperage rating of a particular wire gauge should only be used for fusing. Overkill is not a bad thing, in the situation of the original poster I would re-run OFC 0 ga. and not look back.
