Team ramrod Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 Hey guys I have a 1991 extended cab Nissan hard body truck (yes it's an old beater). I used to be really into systems a couple of years ago but I kinda got out of it for a while and now I'm getting back into it. Ive been doing my research on the subs and amps that are out there now and I think I have decided on my choice. I think I'm gonna 1 18" AA mayhem and a AQ 2200d. From what I read it seems like that amp will be able to push it just fine. But with that sub it looks like I need to build around a 5.5 to 6 cubic foot box which won't fill the back of my truck so I'm trying to figure out the best box design for this sub to go into my truck. I'm thinking of having the sub face forward and the port on top of the sub (hopefully you get what I mean). Do you think that's a good idea or do you have any other ideas for a box build?! AB18VFL Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 if you want wheel bearing and suspension problems, i say fucking do it man. Walling is for multiple sub alignments. Team ramrod Posted June 30, 2012 Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 I have to fi audio 15s it in right now and they are facing up but I lose a lot of pressure because I have side windows so that's why I was thinking about going to a wall but I know that the 1 18 won't fill the space but I want to at least face the sub and port forward if I do that or 2 15s.
