For those interested vent area is related to the subwoofer parameters themselves and tuning frequency, for example here is the Richard Small's method for minimum aero port diameter, this one is based in tuning frequency and displacement (Vd):

Vd = Sd x Xmax

Minimum aero port vent diameter = 39.37(FB x VD)^.5

Then there is the vent mach method which is based on acoustic power and tuning frequency (neither is there agreement in what fraction of the speed of sound should be adequate for a port,,winisd puts it at 15% but many people say it should stay below 5%).

Unhappily is very common to find companies listing incomplete specs like DC audio, AQ, and Sundown.

hey man, could help me in this calculation? I live in Brazil we use standard measures other than yours, what would be the ideal port for two sub Fosgate P3?

VD = 570cm² x 1,5 cm

Fb box = 30hz

????????????
