ZachG Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 Ok so I got 2 kicker cvx 12s that I'm getting a 3cube box for tuned at 34hz from a friend for 60 The box was built for 2 dc level 4 12s. Is this box too small should I try to find a bigger one. The subs will be inverted so they will have all that room. Gets low & loud Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)

ZachG Posted July 3, 2012 Author Report Posted July 3, 2012 It's a good box & 3 cubes shared between the two...its a little more cause he didn't run his inverted and his motors are a little bigger so probably 3.2-3.3.....& might do like 40oz of poly fill if you guys think it will help. soundstream15 Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 dont use polly fill, alot of pre-fab boxes use that, its actually bad for the subs bc if that shit gets into the sub, then your gonna have some probs.. just leave the box how it is..pics would help Quote

Omega5002 Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 Well, if it was me personally, if you had the room, I'd give each CVX 2.25cu ft after displacement since Kickers perform well in slightly larger boxes than your typical 12. Though, the current box you have does sound like a decent box for them, try it out, and see how you like it.
