matt@mechman Posted July 8, 2012 Report Share Posted July 8, 2012 We do not recommend customers re-clocking units themselves. In order to properly re-clock the alternator, you will need a good quality 1/2" drive air impact gun, as well as an inch-pounds torque wrench in order to re-torque the through bolts. The main reason why we do not recommend it, it because we set the unit up with an extremely tight air gap to maximize performance. This generally requires finesse during the assembly process, otherwise the the rotor will lock up tight and not spin. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
