and the rules are in regulation now because there was too much blood with those hits. atleast that is why some of the rules are in place. Silva got DQ'd and his only loss because he kicked someone in the face iirc, he's a fighter but you gotta stay within the rules to play.

We know why they're in place, some people just don't really agree as to why they're there.

But like you said he's a fighter, not only that but a champion, so he should stay within the rules and in this fight he didn't.

The greasing should have been a big problem since the fighters are checked and cleared prior to entering the ring to make sure there isn't an excess amount. If it was ok to do what Silva did then it's pointless to even check them. People say it made to difference since he got taked down so fast, but then again could Sonnen keep him from moving like in the first fight? No, Silva kept SLIPPING away from Sonnen.

The shorts grabbing. All the Silva fans were talking him up that in the 1st round Silva LET Sonnen take him down, then in the 2nd round when he didn't want to go down he stopped it so easily. No, the shorts grabbing stopped the take down every time.

Then the knee, all the Silva fans talk about no picture showing the knee hitting Sonnen's face. It was basically imposible to get a pic or vid of it happening because 1) the mat is under them so no pic or vid can be taken from there, 2) Sonnen was covering his face with his arms so no pic or vid could have been taken from either side, and 3) Silva was practically right over him to no pic or vid could have been taken from the top. BUT a person with common scence would know that when Silva threw the knee he went right between Sonnen's arms (Right where Sonnen's face happened to be) and Sonnen was driven back by the impact and all this happened PRIOR to Silva's knee dropping onto Sonnen's chest.

Oh and no that DQ vs Okami wasn't Silva's only loss either.
