Right, if you look closely the port area is preserved since you have 2 windows 5" wide in the inside, now follow the centerline which will be 5 on the center duct ans 2.5 on the lateral ducts. and measure it.

You are adding both lateral duct lengths, add just one.

Your distances should be 22 3/4. 5 3/4 =28 1/2 check your sketchup.
