pioneerpoundingspl Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 Alright so I have a yellow top under the hood and am running roughly 3000rms, my voltage is terrible and drops down to 12 volts if im not carefull. There is a 240amp rebuilt alt under the hood and 0 gauge throughout. I came across a extra battery laying around and am curiouse if you can run it with the yellow top in parallel. The battery is a Interstate Marine/rv deep cycle battery here are some specs. Pretty well just wanna know if this would be worth setting up. 95legwagon Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 i always seen on the net that your not supposed to run wet cell with agm batteries...... not too sure why or if its true but i would avoid it until you know for sure. have you done the big 3? maybe try selling that battery and buying another yellow top.....there not that expensive i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. bassface Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 Yeah you can still run it, wont work as well but will still work. 95legwagon was referring to resting voltage of the batterys, the agm will have a higher resting voltage and will continually drain the other battery, possibly shortening the life of the higher resting battery.
