Raptorman
Just blew my Power Acoustik MOFO a few days ago, haha, go figure. Time to step it up. I've been looking around for a nice, loud 15. I'm looking for around 2500-3500 RMS. And under $500. I found a AA Mayhem Dual 2 for $490, what do you guys suggest? Want to keep the price low as possible, anything under 500 please. Thanks! -Hunter Quote 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. teamace24
If your running that soundstorm then you need a sub more like in the 1200rms area where that amp truly does at 1 ohm. Watch the bass
Is the Soundstorm the amp for the Mayhem, you can go for the Mayhem, but have to build a bigger box than threw the specs. siucsaluki11
SSA Xcon or Zcon is what im leaning towards next personally. teamace24
Just hope that the op does not think that amp does what it says it does. Because at that wattage get something more efficient in that range. mayhem is a beast and can take more than the 2500rms so putting a 1000rms amp on it makes no sense unless he will upgrade in the future. teamace24
All im saying is that he has 1000rms on tap with that amp at 1 ohm so why not go for something like a sundown sa 15 and get the max out of it. Even a kicker L7, cvx, audioque sdc2.5 or hdc. Many cheaper options. Box is most important and setting amp right (his mojo burned) Quote 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31

teamace24
Yeah thats why im saying if he is going to upgrade to 2500rms really soon, then go for that type of sub. But if not to me it makes no sense with that amp.
