Chris Davis Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 I had an 86 short we made it out of steel tubing and aluminum sheets and had the tail gate latch relocated to the inside. Towards the end I ended up placing an actuator on it so I could open it from the cab for show. ooh ok thats a pretty good idea. i had a friend that made one a couple years ago on around the same year as mine and he cut a hole in the tailgate and welded a bar in that spot so the latch he had on the cover would hook on and lock. hes currently locked up tho and truck totalled lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
