Bigsix
I wasnt as impressed for the price as I was by the Rock Island 1911's, in my opinion the Rock Island/ Armscor branded 1911's are about your best bang for the buck in the entry level 1911 segment. They arent necessarily entry level 1911's but my vote would also be rock island from personal experience because i own one of the tactical models and i have put it up against some custom 1911's at the range and i outshot a few of them.... Bigsix
Bobby, the RIA's are absolutely entry level 1911's, what makes them entry level is the amazing price point. What makes their price point amazing, is the great quality of the pistol for what you pay. The fancy finish isnt there, and some little things need addresses in my opinion, but the are a fantastic pistol, that functions well...amazingly well when you factor in their cost. This is from my first hand experience, as I have owned 2 RIA 1911's, Charles Daly EMS 1911, A Kimber Custom 2, A Taurus PT 1911, and a Norinco. Not to mention, In addition to owning all of the above at one time or another, I have also shot Les Bear, Wilson, Nighthawk and Christensen 1911's. So, in my unofficial opinion, I'd venture to say I can speak with a little authority on the subject. The Rocks were, by far, my favorite of the bunch. You are right but in the same breath being as they are sub 600 dollar platforms they hang with most of the pistols that are double/triple the price. Now i know customs have advantages to a Rock but for the $$ i dont think you can beat em not to mention most custom pistols have less than stellar CS and retarded wait times to receive them Quote Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
