mcnaught82
maybe try that now with the JL's...... I think the only downside really to my kicks is they really don't get "LOUD". They are clean as hell though. If you can fit the 6 and 4 in your door why not step up to an 8" in the door and pair of 5.25 components in the kick or A-Pillars. It'll give you a nice mid bass kick with that 8 and the 5.25 components will be more than loud enough. MPO. I would try that but if I remove the 4" out of the door there is gonna be a hole where it was mounted. Quote Team Deadly Hertz

Guest MegaloManiac
if you want a baddass 3"mid(well technically 3.5") try out the TG9 by peerless. cant beat $60 for a pair. They supposedly outperform the Hybrid Audios l3 in an enclosed application. you could even run them without a tweeter if you really wanted to and it would sound fine for the most part. thegr8cody
welli want my 8's for just vocals and i want the 4's to bring out the rest like the higher sound and tick but still getting my vocals through them and my tweeters are there for the extra lil tick but i might just put another mid in the a pillar im just wondering if its gonna work before i do it lol Quote 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/
Guest MegaloManiac
8s are supose to for the midbass around upper 50s-249hzish, 4" mids should be around 250hz-2500 for the midrange aka vocals, tickers should be 25k on up
thegr8cody
yea i know but i dont want any midbass i just want the sound but most speaker sets i heard were set as more highs and i just want the vocals really so im think im gonna try it it'll be like a house setup a mid bass a midrange and a tweet so it should be ok i guess Quote 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/
Guest MegaloManiac
no midbass then a 3 way set is unnecessary, you can achieve what you are asking on a 2-way set, shit you could even do a 1 way set with them tg9s i told you about run them at 200hz on up and it will sound like you are asking
AI James
may as well just buy horns and call it a day, what you just stated made a 3 way set totally pointless
