It should be completely done by then well the box atleast haha. Then after I save up some monies it will be time for some deadner, a new alt, and lots of batteries. The electrical is going to cost me a fortune I want to get a 270 amp mechman with adjustable voltage and I want to charge at 18v so I have a lot of research to start doing and monies to be saved well what I can save as mentioned earlier part time sucks and I need work on the weekends for some spare change. 412 CVX Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 This is the front view a little closeup of what the block would look like. basically it's just a 4x4 piece of 3/4" MDF. here's where it gets interesting, you're going to want to bore out a hole that's 3/4" deep and the diameter of the washer that's going in it. from there you drill a smaller hole in the center where your allthread is going to come through, and make sure it only sticks out 3/4" so you don't have anything sticking out of the bottom. precise measurements are key. everything is centered 14" from the back of the box, and 8" from each of the inside walls, which would mean 9.5" from the edge of the box on the top and bottom. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

I totally understand where you're comin from. I just bought all new wires and a 4 channel. Next to come is a new alt, then batts, then a new amp, then new subs! 412 CVX Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 That's the whole purpose of the 4x4 blocks, it makes the surface you're drilling into 1.5" thick, so you can recess all the hardware (nut, washer, allthread) into the first layer, and then you have the second layer which is the little block. I think, if you can, you should use it in conjunction with the angle iron. little extra bracing never hurt I'll try to do a cutaway view in MS paint. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.
