Still with 2 layers on the back. I'm may just leave at 2 layers it is pretty solid now. The panel warped some so I may have to add a screw or 2 along the bottom. Also after test fitting some of the metal may need some trimming. The trimming needs to be done mainly in the area around the factory speaker "ring." I may need to flatten out some spots as well to make the speakers sit flush. The panels seems very solid though for 2 layers. I need to go get some more glassing materials tomorrow to finish up the pillars as well. Also I plan on hopefully running my power wire adding a mdf floor to hold the batteries and double as the bottom of the wall tomorrow.

I guess I worked pretty hard at cutting the fabric from the speaker rings lol. I slipped and stuck my self in the finger. It looks wimpy but boy did it hurt.

Well it's a little late for a better glue gun now lol.

It's going good after tomorrow I will be done for the semester. I have two more exams. I will be working all during break so I'll have plenty of money to finish this build. My goal is to have it done by the beginning of January.

I found this while going back through my emails from PSI. I think they are saying the sealed section can be around 4 cubes total and the ported section can be 4 to 6 cubes per sub. This would be a 2:1 or a 3:1 ratio. I can definitely fit a 16 cube box easy. Am I just reading this wrong? The smallest I have heard of someone doing 2 18s is a 5.5 cube sealed box. I should have lots of space if I am reading this right. I will still be building the shell as large as possible regardless I can alway shrink the inside if needed be.

I found this while going back through my emails from PSI. I think they are saying the sealed section can be around 4 cubes total and the ported section can be 4 to 6 cubes per sub. 2.5:1 if you go with 6 each on the ported side! That would give you a broader range than than 3:1 and more output than 2:1! If they say 4ft sealed on their recones I would go with exactly what they said.

Wait are you saying if I do 4 cu ft sealed for each sub it and 6 cu ft ported for each sub it would be a 2.5:1 ratio? The way I'm reading is that both subs should be in a 4 cu ft sealed chamber and a ported chamber anywhere from 8-12 cubes. I'm so confused now lol. Wouldn't 4 cu ft to 10 cu ft be a 2.5:1 ratio or am I just missing something?

well I ment to hit 5 I am sorry that was a fat finger I did not catch. Yes I am saying stick with the 4ft sealed like they said and go in the middle for the ported side with 5. My bad.

Its always better to make it bigger then needed (if you have the room), easier to take volume away then make it appear lol
