Have a small update. All I can say is been sanding. I tried sandi g with a die grinder for the first time and it almost ate though the pods. So I rebondoed the pods sanded and made some milkshake to fill. Now just need some sanding and that car gets painted next week so the pods need to be ready by then.

After that the box gets wrapped to match the interior and the amp rack trim panel then it's done.

I've been into car audio since I had my first car when I was 16. So about 14 years. Every car I have I do a setup and all my friends and customers on the side. I have some other builds on here as well.

  • 4 weeks later...

A big update to a classic. The paint looked good but it wasn't perfect so the owner decided to fix it, and this is what's happened in the last two days.

As you can see it is being stripped to the metal and there was about 5 layers of paint and primer and bondo.

Can you still work on it while its being prepped or is the install now on hold?

The install work is done. The only thing that is left to do is get the box wrapped. He has an upholsterer and his painter is painting the pods.
