MonteCarloBass Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 So here's my MB Quart Onyx 1000.1. Toasted it. Don't know what to do with it now. Scrap it? Throw it away? Try to sell it? It still turns on and everything but no power to the output speaker ports. So what should I do with it?

Already bought a new amp. Got a Kenwood 8105D gonna go get a Soundstream RUB1.1600D tomorrow. (Getting the Soundstream amp, Pops sub (local dealer sub), and a custom box for the sub for $160! Hell of a deal!)

Can get the mosfets replaced for a decent price if you have "ok" electronic repair shops around. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
