Sounds quite similar, but when i had the XLs i didnt have enough to wake them up. got the HDC3s with the ideas of a possible wall in the summer or 3 15s at the window line. They were stock recones, with my oscoped bc2ks, i could not get them warm no matter what. Wish i would have had the AA500.1 when i had the XLs. They needed like 2.5 or 3krms each honestly in the box i was using. Thanks guys. plan is probably 4 hdc 12s below the window line (for SS601 and SB3 for lulz.). might do 4 15s but that is a long shot. Ball wont get rolling until probably mid may as far as the new box and probably console. But ordered a third HDC3 15, the AA500.1 will be at .67 daily, i have PLENTY of battery and alt to support it, with it at 1 ohm right now at idle i dont see below 13.6v. I guess that is what 6 batteries will do for ya. Thinking subs forward, port up, below the window line. stayed with copper coils for the time being as well.
