Once i get my jig ill finish the box and hopefully paint it tomorrow. Do you guys think i should resin it for strength? i mean its only 2 1000 watt tens

I've started to seal every box with resin just to get a airtight seal in the corners and smooth surface for air flow. You can do a layer of fiberglass cloth for strength also. Then you have to sand it smooth.

Got some updates, I'm trying to decide where to mount everything, my trunk is getting small.

I believe this is how i'll do it, the square blocks are where my distro blocks will be.

Does anyone know a good place to ground in the back, i've looked underneath and didn't see anything to appealing.

Thanks man,

I just ordered some 1/0 lugs and my 3/4 x 3 x 6 distro blocks, 1 for power and 1 for ground.

I also ordered my fuses and fuse holders, won't be long and i'll get some 0 gauge

I have a 1/0 ground. Which would be to the left of your box ( driver side) on the floor. Sanded to bare metal and bolted down. Then distributed to two 4 gauge to the amps.

I think thats what i'll do, looking under the car some more there isn't anything that seems like an upgrade, i'm actually going to mount my distro block to the trunk floor and then run some wires to the tire well and sand it down to bare metal.

upgrade the shitty charge wires that jettas come stock with. they are only 10 gauge from the factory and it jumpers from alt to starter then battery. I run a H/O alternator but the jumping from one place to another still isnt the best path out there.

I agree. A big 3 helps out a lot.
