fiberglass advice needed on door panels

Hi my name is shanon an I have a 1991 Lexus ls 400 an I'm recovering my door panels becouse I went up in size in my door speakers 6,1/2s so I got my flees an was putting it on an I've done two panels an Der hard an look done but in sum places they are sticky an I don't believe I'm mixing my resin right any advice at all on fiberglass work interior or exterior would be greatly appreciated oh an is it best to cut out da speaker before or after u fiberglass it

Okay as for the resin, it sounds like you not using enough hardener. Try a little more, and get something to mix it with fast, like an old beater you can use in a drill. Also, what brand of resin are you using? If it's Bondo brand, then there is your problem. That stuff sucks, is hard to work with, and takes forever and a day to set up.

As for cutting before or after, usually most people use MDF rings to give there speakers a place to mount. But if your just cutting holes for them, then I'd say wait till your done glassing, then mark them and cut them.
