zack_e89
Any form of heat deflector like that will work good for you. It keeps the heat from soaking the battery, which can lead to the battery swelling. With the temperatures that most have had this year this is just another good way to take care of your battery. If you will notice on most vehicles today the OEMs are starting to use AGM batteries under the hood. With that they are putting the batteries in a plastic case that surrounds the battery and helps deflect the heat away from the battery. Flooded batteries will suffer from heat much less than sealed batteries just because of the internal construction. You can always add water and electrolyte to a flooded battery, but you can't do that to a sealed battery. thanks for the info Nathan Quote 97 Suburban 8 custom PSI Platform 3 18's
