CJ18
quality brand amp with proper power being supplied to it. enough amperage and voltage to run efficiently and strong withput overheating sending your subs a clean unclipped, musical signal. usually set with a DD-1 or a DMM Good answer until you got to the DMM part. A DMM has no way of detecting distortion or showing you the sine wave. DD1 or O-Scope would be the 2 options. a) good electrical quality amp c) dd1 or oscope to properly tune system front to back d) CLEAN MUSIC! If you play boosted music that is clipped all to hell, it wont matter what you tuned your amps with, you will still be sending a distorted signal to the amp and it will in turn send a distorted signal to your subs. Robby Holmes
an amp that isn't made in china. a strong electrical a good source unit good quality shielded rca cables to reject noise i've got the Knu Krystal rca's, an amp thats getting replaced and a HU thats getting replaced as well. a better question is the term "good electrical" i need an explanation of that. thank you kran quality brand amp with proper power being supplied to it. enough amperage and voltage to run efficiently and strong withput overheating sending your subs a clean unclipped, musical signal. usually set with a DD-1 or a DMM Good answer until you got to the DMM part. DMM does not equal o scope. my bad for responding too quickly. i tune by ear but i know all of you would hate on me for that. i have no problems. and the clipping meter on my bass knob also helps me judge in addition to how hot or cool my components are. my post fixed Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. Guest
good electrical as in an electrical system strong enough to feed the amps while they're playing music. voltage drop = loss in maximum output. which can lead to clipping
Robby Holmes
good electrical as in an electrical system strong enough to feed the amps while they're playing music. voltage drop = loss in maximum output. which can lead to clipping and to obtain a good electrical, would mean a h/o alternator, and about how many runs for a DC 3.5? its what ill be upgrading to Quote '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)
Bump4life
start with big 3 in 1/0. a lot of grounds, and 2 pretty large AGM batteries from a respectable company. edit: is this for daily or comps or both? music or tones? bass race or db drag? all that matters when choosing an electrical to suit your needs Edited July 30, 2012 by Bump4life Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
