I cant make a Sundown vs Obsidian thread can I? I want to pick which sub Im going with before anything else

Flip a coin. They are both awesome subs, can't go wrong.

Those are two differently priced subs, and I think you'll be happy with either. You can go with the more expensive one and get better quality, or just go with the cheaper one.

2) subs dont output watts

Sure they do, in the form of kinetic energy (moving air), and of course heat.

I'm going with the Obsidian 12. Does anyone know how much power they can actually handle? I might have to make a seperate sub thread

like 1000w if you dont clip them

mind you, sundown, skar, and obsidian are all founded (or were helped started by) one of the guys from sundown. so they're similar, yet different.

edit: skar is supposedly the low end monster and obsidian is the "spl" guy. dont quote me, thats what i've heard.

Im trying to figure out about how much power I can run in my car before I have to make any electrical upgrades. I dont want to do anything besides The Big 3

aq750, lanzar opti1400d, american bass vfl80.1, ab ph2500md, massive n2 should all work if you care easy on the gains and keep an eye on your voltage. Personally Im partial to lanzar opti's, mine is an absolute monster considering what I paid for it
