wmrcs
So I've got a SA-8 v1.5 laying around and I want to build an enclosure for it for use in my dorm room. What kind of enclosure would be good for a big room? I was thinking something more complex than a ported box.. Let me know if you have any ideas. I know SA's do well in 4ths, but what about 6ths? and how would I design a box for a room instead of a car? E34 540iT/
k3n12ock
More complex than a ported? Surreal has a free box plan for a 6th order for a single 8. Link is here: http://www.caraudioc...sign-plans.html Thanks! I like that one actually.. He mentions it's not ideal for an SA-8 but we'll see. fritosaregood
I would do a just a ported box, maybe a little oversized. Its more about positioning in the room that the box mostly seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970

t-money
t-lines are very efficient on a little bit of power. VERY complex and alot of factors and math but fun. i just designed one lastnight for my little brother 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056

Tito DeLatorre
Larger than recommended Ported Tuned 26-28hz. it'll make up for the less power and cone area. also, Corner Load it. also clear it off obstacles. itll act like a Horn Enclosure in the corner of the room, increasing efficiency. Ludachris5150
Did you ever do this? Curious because I plan on doing the same but for my small room. I know I could just buy a dayton sub off PE or something but im really trying to use a "nice" sub like an sa 8, or a dc 8, maybe even a cheaper fi 10... If you did it lets get some pics/videos Rebuild in progress...
