Well I have a as 8v2 d2 and I'm just wondering what would be a box that would maximize spl/potential of this little beast

Straight SPL? I would do like.. .6cu tuned to whatever your car peaks at. 4 or 6 inch aero port.

Well I want to maximize the potential of the 8 my car is a 96 accord I have a fosgate p500-2 @2ohm so putting maybe 500rms

When you said spl I thought you were drop 2k of power on one of theise

You still need meserment, and by only having 500rms I take it there is only one sub

In that case for out right spl in 500

If you carefully and know how to tune it

Idd susgestions 1net 14sq" of port or single 4" aero at 42hz

If you plane to upgrade to under 700rms down the track then

0.75net at 42hz with 14sq" of port or a single 4" aero

If you want loud with a bit more sq

0.75net at 37h with 14sq" of port or a single 4" aero

And a blend of both sq and spl

0.75net at 35hz with 12-14sq" of port or a single 3 or 4" aero

And for more sq

0.6net at 32-33 with 12sq" of port or a single 3 or 4" aero

So what sort of %sq-spl are you lookn for,

Well like I said I'm really new to this and still learning I would love to have a blend of both spl and sq but as far as % goes I could not answer that without telling u something I don't fully understand yet and yes I only have one 8
