CJ18
Was that measured on 1 amp or strapped?
CJ18
Also you dont add your starting impedance to the reactive reading. You have 2.86 ohms reactive. That is your final ohm load not the 4.26. The numbers you posted would equal 3490w at 2.86 ohms.
Garry Anderson
That is correct, that it was strapped.
CJ18
You did something wrong then. No way that a pair of strapped 5ks(strapped at 1.4 or .7 per amp) rising to 2.86 ohms(1.43 ohm per amp), with voltage drop down to 12.5v are only putting out 3490w. With that voltage and reactive ohm load, you should see close to 5k per amp with no issue at all. Either your settings are wrong, it didnt get burped at full tilt, or you did not do the clamp test properly.

CortezDTV
Sounds like ur strapped but the rca isnt connected on the slave so you only clamping once amp I got thoes exact same numbers with my 5ks then I plugged the strapped rca in and bam, 3500rms per amp..... Make sure they are actually strapped..... or try unstrapping them 2 5ks should be more than enough power for 4 lvl 4s, if u were getting upwards of 6k+ after rise ur subs will prolly get warm fast... just to much power for lvl 4s imot But someone said it before more batteries too! Garry Anderson
They are strapped, I wouldnt get out put if they werent, but its impedeance rise Rusty explained it to me. Thanks for all the help.
Garry Anderson
Hey, So I was rewiring everyinthing in my car and in the process found an RCA to the subs that was split in half! I have hooked everything back up, but that seems like it would cause a problem like the one I was having with no output, because there was not input. Do you think I am correct in assuming this? Thanks!
CJ18
Picture please. Not quite sure what you are saying.
