Wood
Here is another suggestion it achieves about 7.8 cubic feet @ 33Hz and two subs fully front firing: Some improvements pending. i like this design also.. quick question, when doing the blowthrough and sealing it from the trunk, does the box have to be pushed all the way against seat or could it sit back a little? the reason i ask is because the cut out behind my seats arent as wide as my measurements and the excursion from the sub could hit it. i'll upload a picture to better show my trunk and how its arranged... but thats a sweet design and it gives almost the optimal space along with bracing which is very necessary Quote 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346
Joe X
No it does not have to be pushed against the seat at all in fact some airspace in front of the sub is beneficial, the idea of sealing off is that gets done air tight so you pressurize a smaller volume. There a number of improvements that can be done but you need to carefully consider your space and then it gets modified to a final spec. Wood
Also do you think you could design one that is around the same cu ft with all subs facing the center, or is that the point of the 2 subs facing the front to give it extra cu ft? Joe X
6 in would be ok, and yes net internal volume maximizes the way is drawn right now. You just need to figure out a seal off plan, will your back seats fold down?

Is there a way you could provide me a cut out sheet for the design you gave me?
